sosodeb, this one's for you!
You can definitely make the marshmallows tonight and store them until Monday. They may not taste as fresh as they would if they were eaten tomorrow, but they definitely will not harden. The caramel will stay soft, and the cereal mixture will stay crunchy. You can store them in an airtight container at room temperature. Try storing them with a soft piece of bread for added moisture. Good luck!...

I can't believe it's not butter. Err, I mean...
I am so amazed by this spookishly sweet breakfast put together by Sarah Young of Sheek Shindigs. It’s so cute and, believe it or not, healthy! She decided to do some breakfast that’s lighter on the calories and more vitamin-packed for the kiddos. That is cereal in those tins. Cereal, I tell you! Ah! So great! Go over and check it out!
**In other news: I am headed out of town...

Tut Tuesday: Customized Cupcakes
Hola! I hope everyone had a nice Monday. It was pretty chilly here. Perfect CHILI weather. Yum!
So today’s post is about customized cupcakes. We’ve got a baby shower coming up and I am playing around with ways to use mom’s and baby’s initials for the cupcakes. I had originally intended to use Royal Icing, and I’ll just tell you now: I failed. I didn’t make my...

Just a quick uplifter...
I came across this post and had to share it. Sometimes I get bogged down because I think, “What am I doing this for? Who would even read what I have to say? I’m not good enough.” Reading this really helped me re-focus and I’m going to really tap into my creative side and see if I can’t get the results I REALLY want. :) —The following is a must-read for...

Tut Tuesday: Stampy McStamperson DIY
Do you know what I love to do in my spare time? I like to make stamps. Lots of them. They are so easy and you can have one traced, carved, and printed in under an hour. It’s the perfect hobby! Because it’s fall, and because I love apple cider, I decided to make a stamp to attach to some apple cider treats for the neighbors.
**I apologize for the less-than-wonderful pics. I work all...

With the holidays around the corner, I am starting to think of ideas for Christmas cards and THIS is definitely something I will be keeping on the backburner. Beginning calligraphy? Without a class? Yes, please.

Donut you want some pumpkin?
Alright, alright, alright. Here’s the recipe for those pumpkin homewreckers donuts. I just have to say this: If you are short on friends, make these donuts. People flock to them. It’s science.
CAUTION: The scent and look of these will trap you and you will be seduced. I was. I ate a good portion of these before they even made it to the dipping phase. Please don’t count the...

It's amazing what a little spray paint can do
I just love a great GOODWILL find. All you need is a good shape, some good paint, and some time.
And I found TWO! Do you know how rare that is? I can’t wait to get some shades for these pretties.
**Happy Wednesday**

how amazing bunting is?!? On Monday I decided to make my own bunting for an upcoming craft fair. I love the look and just felt the need to make one. I didn’t have a pattern or any directions, but it turns out that this may be one of the easiest projects on the planet.
And how about that pinwheel fabric, eh? What do you think?
I’m thinking I may have to share this...

Tut Tuesday: Glamorous Glitter Pumpkins
IT’S TUESDAY! And one step closer to fall. I am getting so antsy that I have started to put up my decor for fall and for upcoming HALLOWEEN. Yesterday, my friend Ashley and I had a little crafty day of our own. We knocked out a few projects and got started on others that will soon grace the cyber pages of The Proper Pinwheel. Now, I am not the first to glitter a pumpkin. It’s been done...
